A hybrid approach based on <scp>ELECTRE III</scp>‐genetic algorithm and <scp>TOPSIS</scp> method for selection of optimal <scp>COVID</scp>‐19 vaccines

Abstract COVID‐19 pandemic poses unprecedented challenges to the world health system, prompting academics and professionals develop appropriate solutions. Researchers reported different vaccines introduced by institutions companies around globe, which are at stages of development. However, research developing an integrated framework for selecting ranking optimal potential vaccine against is minimal. This paper aimed fill this gap using a hybrid methodology based on ELimination Et Choice Translating REality III (ELECTRE III)–Genetic Algorithm (GA) Technique Order Preference Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) approach select SARS‐CoV‐2 vaccine. ELECTRE method yields fathomable analysis concordance index, while GA known its ability disaggregate decision‐making preferences from holistic decisions. TOPSIS preferred picking ideal anti‐ideal solution. Thus, combining III‐GA considered best model assess pandemic. The results confirm that rely high level safety, efficacy, availability. Our developed evaluation can help healthcare researchers gain information make critical decisions regarding disease.
